My walking pal and I stayed at Brackenrigg Inn for the second time, initially for an overnight stay and then returning to explore the beautiful countryside. The rooms were clean and cosy, with a log fire in the bar and delicious food for dinner and breakfast. The exceptional staff were always ready to assist with a touch of humor, making us feel right at home. We'll definitely be coming back to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and access to Cumbria's amazing walks.

Located right opposite Lake Ullswater, the hotel offers a remote and peaceful setting, perfect for a getaway in the Lake District. Despite its secluded location, it is conveniently only 5 miles away from the M6, making it easily accessible. The hotel is also near various tourist spots and is in close proximity to all the lakes, providing a peaceful retreat away from the busy tourist areas. The rooms are spotless and the beds are comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep.

We had a fantastic stay for a night on Ullswater with a surprisingly innovative menu and excellent quality food. The location right on the lakeside was stunning, and it was close to the little village of Pooley Bridge which we visited. The hotel facilities were clean and tidy, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious and included a full English with a choice of eggs.

I had an absolutely fantastic stay at this hotel recently while on a business trip. the surroundings were breathtakingly stunning, with impressive views of the lake and mountains. the beds were incredibly comfortable, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was as comfortable as possible. I also appreciated the complimentary breakfast, which was delicious and a perfect way to start my day.

There were a few aspects of my stay that I didn't enjoy as much. the rooms and facilities were starting to show their age, with a few areas in need of maintenance and updating.
