Beautiful gothic architecture, convenient bus stop directly outside, fantastic views overlooking Edinburgh.

The rooms could use serious attention with peeling wallpaper and a noticeable lack of maintenance!!! The water pressure in showers was lacking, and navigating multiple stairs without lifts was less than ideal!!! Heating was a hit or miss!!!

Great location with easy access to public transport.

During my stay, I faced significant issues with the breakfast service. I had to challenge them at reception, and even then, I was wrongly told that I wasn’t on the list. While I eventually got breakfast, the confusion left me frustrated and in a rush before my tour. Additionally, the room itself felt cramped and not well-maintained, adding to my disappointment with the overall experience.

I enjoyed the convenient bus stop just steps outside, making it easy to access the city center quickly. The hotel offered free parking, which was a bonus for my backpacking trip. The breakfast selection exceeded my expectations, providing a hearty start to the day.

There were minor maintenance issues in my room that should be addressed.

but my first room had moldy stains which hurt my asthma. the staff were friendly and changed my room the next day! the bus stops right outside and it’s easy to get to the hotel, and I really liked the bed sheets being perfume free.

i was actually excited, but i can't believe the incredibly tired interior with shredded upholstery and dirty crumbs everywhere. i woudl ve been fine if anyone had offered me an upgrade for my troubles, but this hotel clearly doesn't value customers like me. absoluteley not returning, not even for the views. i just couldn’t recommend it.

It was just a balanced option for a short stint in Edinburgh with good price-quality ratio. The dinner in the restaurant was surprisingly good, with excellent service that made the evening enjoyable. Make sure to check the room for any issues as soon as you arrive.

super clean, cozy vibes with friendly staff who made everything easier. loved the food. breakfast had great variety, perfect way to start the day! plenty of seating areas to chill with a drink afterwards too.
