Gorgeous area, wonderful garden, characterful house, well-equipped kitchen, beautiful cottage, high standard cleanliness.

The location of the cottage was fantastic, with stunning scenery and great hiking trails right on our doorstep. We had a wonderful time exploring the area and taking in the beautiful views. Additionally, the cottage was very well-equipped, making our stay comfortable and convenient. We appreciated having a fully equipped kitchen, allowing us to cook our own meals and save money on eating out. The cottage also had a lovely garden where we could relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

One major downside was the limited seating in the lounge area. It was quite cramped, especially when our whole group was together.

We got great value for our money at this cozy and warm cottage. The location was simply amazing, with beautiful views and plenty of nearby walks, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

The breakfast experience could be improved with a wider selection of options.

I had a wonderful stay at a cottage in a fantastic location. The cottage was well-equipped and spotless, with comfortable beds and a private garden with a BBQ. The kitchen facilities were great, perfect for cooking your own meals. The communication with the owners was excellent, and the nearby pubs served delicious food and local ales. The view, the peaceful surroundings, and the narrow gauge railway within walking distance added to the charm of the experience. it was a perfect stay and I would definitely return in the future.

Convenient location for hiking and exploring the surrounding area. The cottage was warm and cosy, with a good kitchen and comfortable bed. The nearby pubs served delicious food, making dining out easy. Plus, the drive over Hardknott pass was a thrilling experience for those who enjoy mountain roads.

The additional bed provided was old and rickety, not ideal for a comfortable stay. The lack of phone signal was expected due to the remote location, but the slow response to email inquiries was a downside.

The cottage itself was lovely and spacious, providing enough room for our group to relax and enjoy our New Year's getaway. the location was also fantastic, surrounded by the stunning beauty of the Lake District.

There were several negative aspects that detracted from our experience. the parking situation was quite limited and tight, resulting in one of our cars being damaged while trying to navigate the narrow pathway.

The cottage itself was lovely and clean, with a well-equipped kitchen and a modern bathroom featuring a bath and walk-in shower. the location was a standout feature, with two excellent pubs within walking distance and a convenient post office nearby for quick breakfast and lunch options. the nearby train station had a delightful café. the laundry facilities were a bonus, perfect for cleaning up after our hiking trip in Scotland.

The difficulty we had with the lock box for the keys, although we eventually managed to figure it out. Another disappointment was the lack of internet access in the cottage, forcing us to brave the rain and use the internet outside to stay in touch with our family back home.

Well-equipped kitchen with complimentary teas, coffees, milk, and biscuits. Comfortable and warm cottages with clean bedsheets and towels. Conveniently located near country pubs and Woodlands Cafe. Excellent communication from the host with helpful travel and entry advice.
