We had a fantastic three-night stay at this lovely, very old Inn. The room was huge with a fun wonky floor and the bed was large, warm, and comfortable. The food was excellent pub food and the breakfasts were generous. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the cosy bar/snug created a welcoming atmosphere. Great value for money!

The hotel breakfast menu could be improved by offering chips with the gammon steak instead of french fries.

We stayed at Cain Valley for a weekend trip to the Lake Vrnwy area. The warm welcome for our family and dog was a great start. The pub food was delicious and reasonably priced. Our large and comfortable room, friendly staff, and excellent breakfast made our stay even better. The historic Jacobean staircase added character to the hotel. A campaign to revert back to its original name, The Goat, would be a fun touch.

We stayed at the hotel for convenient access to a nearby bike park and were very satisfied. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Our family room comfortably accommodated four people and our dog. The breakfast and pub meals were delicious and reasonably priced. The off-road parking was a great convenience. we had a great experience and would highly recommend this hotel.

I had a fantastic stay at a charming pub with a cozy room. My spacious room exceeded my expectations, with a large en-suite and plenty of storage space. The bar meals were delicious and reasonably priced, especially the lamb tagine. The local beers were a great addition at a good price. The location was perfect for exploring the Cain Valley and nearby attractions like Powis Castle. I also appreciated the car park at the rear of the pub. The warm welcome and gratitude upon departure made it a memorable experience. I highly recommend this hotel.
