The conservatory at the hotel was a really nice place to eat. My wife loved their delicious curry, while I enjoyed a fantastic turkey and Brie salad that had a great variety of salad vegetables. The newly refurbished conservatory added to the overall dining experience. Additionally, the hotel served excellent Moorhouses beer.

During my Christmas stay, the location of the hotel was great as it allowed us to easily make our way around town. the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, providing us with quick service, a cozy room and everything we needed. the shower pressure was fantastic and the breakfast provided a good variety of options to choose from.

Our room lacked net curtains for the bedroom window and we were woken up early by cleaning services. Nonetheless, the staff’s warm hospitality made up for these small inconveniences.

enjoyed my stay at calf's head. room was spacious and beautifully decorated with a whirlpool bath. food was excellent, especially the fresh and generous salads. breakfast in the conservatory with a view of the gardens was peaceful and delicious. great location for a wedding at eaves hall. overall, a lovely experience.

We had a great stay here. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the centre. We enjoyed a few drinks in the lively bar and the conservatory offered a cozy atmosphere. The room was comfortable, and the bathroom was clean. The service was excellent, the staff were friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of choices. The views from the hotel were breathtaking. We loved the little touches like the tea pot and tea bag caddy.

The picnic benches in the garden area were in need of replacement.

I could sit there all day, savoring the beauty and tranquility. The staff here were absolutely lovely, going above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction. They were friendly, attentive, and it was clear that they had received excellent customer service training.

I recently stayed at the Calf's Head Hotel for a wedding and had a fantastic experience. The staff were friendly and accommodating, even organizing transport to the wedding venue. The rooms were spacious and clean, with lovely views of the garden. The food at the restaurant was delicious, with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. the hotel had a warm, homely atmosphere and I felt valued as a guest. I also loved that there were hiking trails right from the property.

Couldn't recommend this hotel more.

Fabulous good and service, pleasant staff. Perfect breakfast. Room was small as described. Great location, comfortable bed with good linens. English pub with tasty food, staff went above and beyond. Situated in picturesque village with good road links and onsite parking. Will definitely return and book a bigger room. Lovely 3 night break.

The breakfast in the open-plan breakfast room was absolutely delightful, with views of the picturesque garden and river/stream. The hotel also had ample car parking for our convenience.
