We had a slight hiccup upon arrival, arriving half an hour early for check-in only to find all the doors locked. Once we had the keys, everything was fine. The hotel's location was fantastic, close to the beach and within walking distance of shops and restaurants. The room was clean, comfortable, and had all the necessary amenities for a pleasant stay. We particularly appreciated the tea making facilities with delicious cookies, as well as the quality toiletries provided. Although there were a couple of suggestions for improvement made by guests in previous reviews, we had a great overall experience and would recommend this hotel to others.

Two years running, me and my son have stayed here and I can't fault it. The beds were very good, with excellent bed linen and towels. Having tea/coffee/kettle in the room was great. The breakfast was well cooked and hot. The staff were helpful and fixed a problem with the shower door promptly. The price is very reasonable, even in the summer. The location is great for dining in Benllech and exploring Llangefni. The room was clean and spacious, with a picturesque view of Snowdonia. There was ample car parking and lovely outside seating areas.

I had an amazing stay at a hotel in a quiet location. The bed was so comfortable and the room was spotlessly clean. The staff at the restaurant were really friendly and attentive.

My stay at California Hotel was fantastic! The value for money was exceptional, and the room was really comfortable with a smart TV for some Netflix time. The location was great, with easy access to the places I wanted to visit. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend California to anyone visiting Anglesey.

This hotel is great value for money, with very comfortable beds and more than adequate facilities. The location is ideal, as it is close to Benllech beach and the surrounding area. The staff are friendly and provide excellent service. The breakfast is delicious and served at a very good price.

No issues, everything was fine.

We felt so much safer and happier as soon as we arrived. the beds were incredibly comfortable and the bathroom was clean. the room had a great selection of tea and coffee. the location was perfect for exploring nearby towns and attractions. the breakfast smelled amazing, although we didn't have the chance to try it. We look forward to our next visit.

Everything was spot on.

The California Hotel offers comfortable beds, spotless rooms, and great bathroom facilities. The breakfast is amazing and the staff is very welcoming. It's a genuine, authentic bed and breakfast with lovely evening meals. It's a great base for beaches and there's a must-try curry house on the golf course. Perfect for those on a budget.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a lovely hotel. the food was absolutely gorgeous, with fresh ingredients and delicious meals for both breakfast and dinner. What I really appreciated was how accommodating the pub staff were, making sure that both guests and staff felt welcome. the location was also great, just a short drive from Benllech. I had a wonderful time at California and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy and enjoyable stay.

We had a fantastic stay at the California. The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean and modern. The beds were comfortable and the en suite was exceptionally clean with a dreamy shower. The hotel provided kettle, tea, and coffee, and the breakfast was excellent. The location was great for exploring Anglesey, especially if you have a vehicle.

The staff at the bar/reception seemed a bit unhappy and lacked confidence, which was a bit unfair considering they were excellent when serving drinks.
