We had a fantastic stay at the Samuel Ryder Hotel. The location was perfect, just a short distance from the town center and not far from the Harry Potter Studios. The range of breakfast choices was impressive, especially loved the waffle machine. The front of house staff were friendly and efficient, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. The bed was comfy, ensuring a good night's sleep. The hotel also provided free onsite parking, which was a great convenience. Despite a few minor cleanliness issues, the overall experience was enjoyable. We would highly recommend this hotel for its convenient location and delicious breakfast options. The room was clean, and the walk-in shower was amazing. The staff were welcoming and polite, even offering a complimentary drink while our room was being prepared. The refurbishment work was carried out during working hours, resulting in brand new and fabulous condition rooms. Free parking was available, although it was a short walk away. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, ensuring a pleasant experience for guests.

The room insulation could be improved, as the windows did not effectively block out external noise.

Had an amazing new year at this hotel! the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and made our stay wonderful. They even offered complimentary welcome drinks and cookies upon our arrival. the hotel is located right in the heart of the town, offering great access to shops, restaurants, and attractions. the room was gorgeous and newly renovated, plus the breakfast was delicious. Best of all, the hotel was just a stone's throw away from a beautiful abbey.

This didn't have a massive impact on our experience and didn't spoil our enjoyment of the hotel.

In terms of transportation, the hotel's location close to the city center made it easy to explore this vibrant city.

I had a great stay at this hotel! The location was perfect, right in the center of town across the cathedral. Being in a quiet area, I was able to have a peaceful night's sleep. The bar/lounge area was a nice spot to relax and enjoy a welcome drink. I was very pleased with the level of comfort and quality this place provided.

We had a wonderful stay at the Clarion in St Albans. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the Cathedral. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-appointed. One standout moment was when we needed a space to spread out a family tree, and the staff allowed us to use a meeting room for this purpose. The service and helpful attitude we experienced here were top-notch. I highly recommend this hotel.
