We had a fantastic time at the hotel! The decor was pleasing and the garden was gorgeous. The breakfast was excellent and served by a delightful and efficient young woman. The room was comfortable and had a nice en-suite. Steve, our host, was exceptionally helpful and went the extra mile. The location was perfect for exploring the beautiful surroundings, and the on-site parking was convenient. a lovely stay with friendly and helpful staff.

Felt right at home, no complaints.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. the value for money was exceptional - for the price I paid, I didn't expect such a fantastic place. Secondly, the attention to detail was impressive. The room was not only comfortable and spacious, but also tastefully decorated to a high standard. The feather down duvet was pure luxury. Lastly, the staff were friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome. They were particularly accommodating when it came to providing an extra bed for our 5-year old daughter.

I didn't find anything that I didn't like about this hotel.

The food at the hotel was excellent, with a wide variety of choices for both dinner and breakfast. the menu featured a good balance of meat and fish dishes, ensuring that there was something for everyone. the breakfast had a great selection, making it one of the best we've had. the room we stayed in was comfortable and clean, with plenty of space and all the amenities we needed.

One of the main disappointments was the service at dinner. There seemed to be some miscommunication regarding the special of the day, resulting in confusion and incorrect orders.

The staff were brilliant, working hard and always friendly. The hotel itself is lovely, with beautiful views from the room's windows. The Swiftsure room was spacious, even with an extra bed for our daughter. The breakfast was delicious, with restaurant quality food and fresh and tasty options. The location was perfect for us to visit family in the area of the beautiful Scottish Borders and for traveling around Northumberland.

Nothing not to love.

Spent a lovely Easter weekend here and had a great time! the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome. the food was definitely a highlight, with a delicious dinner menu featuring both meat and fish options. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast, which had a great variety of options and was probably the best we’ve had. the size of the rooms was also a plus, with plenty of space and all the necessary amenities. the location was great for exploring the surrounding area, and the peaceful atmosphere made for a very relaxing stay.

Although the room was comfortable, we did notice a few maintenance issues that could have been addressed. Some dusty areas and minor damages were visible, which detracted from an otherwise enjoyable stay.

We chose this hotel for our visit to Northumberland and the Borders, as it is perfectly located just a mile from Scotland. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, making us feel welcomed and at home. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a spacious bathroom and a lovely view of the gardens. The delicious cooked breakfast gave us the energy we needed for a day of exploring. the hotel provided a great base for our travels and for visiting family in the area.

There was a minor issue with the lampshade in our room, but it didn't significantly affect our stay.
