This hotel is a gem! The location is perfect, right in the heart of the town. The staff are incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The attention to detail in the rooms was impressive, from the comfy beds to the spotless cleanliness. And let's not forget the delicious homemade breakfast, it was a great way to start the day!

Not a single thing to complain about!

We had a fantastic stay in a cozy cottage that felt like a 5-star hotel. The staff were brilliant, providing top-notch service for drinks, dinner, and breakfast. The location was incredibly convenient, with plenty of nearby parking and the town's shops and walks just a stone's throw away. Despite being in the center of it all, our room was nice and quiet, allowing for a peaceful night's sleep. The breakfast offered a wide range of choices, including excellent coffee. We were also pleased to find that the bar was dog-friendly for future visits.

The only minor issue was the lack of a blind for the obscure glass in the bathroom, which overlooked an outdoor eating area.

As young people, we absolutely loved staying at Cushion Bank. The central location made it so convenient for exploring the town, and the peaceful atmosphere was a pleasant surprise. The stylish and clean rooms were equipped with everything we needed. Highly recommended!

Our Christmas stay at this hotel was fantastic! the spacious and spotless self-catering apartment had everything we needed, from dishwasher tabs to coffee pods, making our stay hassle-free. the modern reclining couch was a hit with the kids, and the apartment had all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. the location of the hotel was perfect, with easy access to key attractions in the area. We also appreciated the little touches, like earbuds and tissues in the rooms, which showed that the owners truly cared about their guests' experience.

While our stay was mostly enjoyable, there were a few downsides. the coffee, made from an automatic machine, was also unpleasant.

We stayed for three nights and were pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness and cleanliness of the room. The newly refurbished room had a comfortable king-size bed and plenty of space. The addition of many sockets was a big plus. The location near a Co-op and the railway station was convenient for trekkers and group of friends.

Felt totally relaxed, no reason to complain.

The value for money at this hotel was excellent, with a delicious Sirloin Steak meal for less than £15. The large, clean room had everything working perfectly, and we had a good laugh reading the entertaining information book provided. The location in the quaint village of Appleby was fantastic, and it served as a perfect base for exploring the Lake District. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and we even got an upgrade to a spacious suite.

The breakfast selection could have been improved with a wider variety of choices.

The location of the accommodation was perfect as it was close to all the shops and restaurants. the breakfast was cooked to perfection, we especially enjoyed the quality produce. We were also pleased to see that all the staff members were friendly and helpful.

The bathroom was mouldy and could do with re-sealing and the windows did not open, which made it uncomfortable to sleep at night. we found that there were flies buzzing around the food in both the pub and tea room, which made it an off-putting experience.

The Crown and Cushion is a great place to stay for families with kids. Situated in the town centre, it provides easy access to the lakes and north pennines. The cute little cottage attached to the pub was clean and comfortable, and the friendly staff made our stay enjoyable. The accommodation offered a spacious bedroom and bathroom, and we were pleasantly surprised to find our cottage cleaned halfway through our stay. The pub served a good menu, and the breakfast was delicious with fresh produce from local farmers.

The need to ask for a key to avoid being locked out late at night was a slight inconvenience.

Comfy room with nice view, plenty of storage. Excellent food with generous portions. Friendly and helpful hospitality. Limited parking but nearby car park. Easily accessible stairs for disabled guests. Would recommend and look forward to returning.

Our stay at Crown And Cushion in Appleby was fantastic. The location in the charming village of Appleby was perfect for exploring the Lake District. We were pleasantly surprised by the "upgrade" to a spacious suite, complete with a separate kitchen and living room. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was delicious, with locally sourced sausages and bacon. Although we had a small mishap with getting locked out, the issue was quickly resolved. we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this hotel.

We had a fantastic stay at Crown And Cushion in Appleby. The owner, John, was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The 2nd floor apartment was beautifully furnished and had all the amenities we needed. The location was perfect, with easy access to the Lake District and a Spar shop right next door. Despite being near a pub, it was surprisingly quiet once it closed. The included breakfast was delicious and there was a lovely atmosphere in the pub.

Can't recommend this hotel highly enough.
