We had a fantastic stay at this B&B. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and extremely comfortable. The highlight of our stay was the lounge area with a cozy log fire, where we spent hours relaxing with a beer and a good book. The breakfast was delicious, with a variety of options including fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, and a tasty cooked breakfast. The location was perfect, situated in a picturesque village with easy access to nearby attractions such as Birdoswald and Hadrian's Wall.

The early morning wake-up call from a crowing cockerel, which disturbed our sleep and unsettled our dogs. It would have been preferable to have a quieter room, especially for those traveling with pets.

The location of the hotel was ideal, with a pub nearby that served delicious food - a great place to grab a meal after a long day of exploring. The rooms were spacious and luxurious, with comfortable beds and beautiful decor. The bathrooms were large and well-equipped, with exceptional showers and baths. The service provided by Clare, the owner, was warm and friendly, making me feel welcome and well taken care of. The breakfasts were exceptional, with a wide variety of options to choose from. the hotel offered a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

It would have been nice to have a box of Kleenex available in the room.

Clare, the hostess, was incredibly friendly and helpful. The location in beautiful Gilsland was perfect. The room had everything we needed, including amenities for our dog. The breakfast was delicious and the entire place was clean and well-maintained. Highly recommend!

I had a fantastic one-night stay at a lovely, comfortable B&B. The owner, Clare, gave us a warm welcome and showed us to our spacious and spotlessly clean room with a great view. Our dog was well taken care of with bowls and a bed provided. The breakfast selection was delicious, and I especially enjoyed the full English. The property is beautifully furnished and fitted out to a high standard. I would definitely recommend and visit again!
