The value for money at this hotel was excellent. Our room, located in the castle itself, had an antique charm with modern amenities. The location was perfect, right in the heart of town but still quiet at night. The staff treated us wonderfully, making our stay even more enjoyable.

The only thing that could have made the breakfast selection better was a wider variety of pastries or baked goods.

Stayed at the hotel while cycling with Ride Britain. Got a packed lunch for breakfast as I was leaving early, which was excellent. The 15th century castle has been beautifully modernised and expanded. Room was stunning, with a comfortable bed, excellent bathroom, and extra amenities like an ironing board and hairdryer. The bar area was the highlight - beautiful stone wall features and a great atmosphere. Lovely touches in the room like complimentary treats and luxury bathroom soaps. Breakfast was delicious.

Plus, being right in the center of the village, there were exclusive shops and a range of accommodations nearby.

Some areas of the hotel struggled to keep up with the winter temperatures, and the bathroom lacked a heater.

During our romantic escape, we enjoyed the complementary champagne and chocolates waiting for us in our room. the location was perfect for exploring the quaint town and nearby attractions. the breakfast buffet was impressive with daily specials, and the staff in the restaurant were friendly and accommodating.

Our room lacked the charm we were hoping for and felt more like an average hotel room. the noise from the floorboards above our room was disruptive and affected our sleep quality.
