The room was clean and tidy, exactly as advertised on the website. The staff at the bar were friendly and offered us a warm welcome. The location was fantastic, with easy access to the town center and attractions.

The lack of proper instruction on how to reach our room was frustrating, and the dark, icy and uneven path outside the hotel made it difficult to access. The room was cramped and poorly laid out, especially with the awkward positioning of the mirrors.

The Duke Of Wellington in Matlock was a fantastic find! The staff were amazing and the location couldn't have been better. The hostess was the best and the food at the restaurant was top-notch. We loved the variety of choices at the bar, and the accommodation was charming. The stable conversions at the rear of the pub were really cool and gave us a sense of independence with our own front door. The parking was also incredibly convenient. We were able to take a short walk into town, although it was quite steep on the return. we had a great experience and would definitely return.

We felt right at home at the Duke Of Wellington and had no complaints whatsoever.
