We stayed at a lovely guesthouse in the heart of Windermere. The location was perfect, with the bus stop and train station just a short walk away. There was no fan in the room, which made the warmer nights a bit uncomfortable.

The room we stayed in had a very steep flight of stairs, which made it quite difficult for us to carry our luggage up and down. It was a bit of a challenge for our age, but we managed. The top step led straight into the bedroom, which was a unique layout. However, despite this, the room itself was clean and cozy. The breakfast at the B&B was delightful, and the host was friendly and informative. our stay at the Dunvegan was memorable and we would consider returning in the future.
