We stayed at this amazing B&B for a wedding and it was perfect. The central location made it convenient for us to explore the area on foot, and the free parking was a bonus. The room was immaculate and extremely comfortable. Darren, our host, was friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable about the local area. The breakfast had plenty of delicious choices and Darren even made the best sausage and bacon sandwich I've ever had!

The hotel had a great location and was easy to find near a Lidl supermarket. It was close to the town centre and had a slightly close proximity to the town walls. The room was comfortable, clean, and had a fridge for keeping drinks cold. The bathroom was clean and had clean towels provided daily. The service was exceptional, with accommodating and friendly hosts who provided helpful information about the town and attractions. The breakfast had a good variety of options and was cooked to order. the hotel had fantastic facilities and a quiet and peaceful atmosphere.

The parking could have been better signposted to avoid confusion with other nearby properties.

As business guests, we loved the excellent coffee and warm croissants for breakfast, as well as the option to have cooked food if we wanted. The room had a great ambiance and our host was very welcoming. The small fridge with fresh milk was a nice touch.

We used this as a central point for several cycle trips and found it an ideal spot. Darren's sense of humor and bubbly personality added to the exceptionally clean, comfortable and well cared-for accommodation. The breakfasts were wonderful, especially the poached eggs, and the little treats were a lovely touch. The location was perfect, with Barter Books right next door and nice restaurants and pubs within walking distance. Darren, the owner, was friendly and provided lots of helpful information. Would definitely stay again.

Nothing it was perfect.

The location of the hotel is perfect, just a short walk from the town centre and close to the town walls. The room was clean and cozy, with a comfortable bed and a nice view of the front garden. The breakfast offered a variety of choices, including traditional English and continental options. The host was friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home during our stay.

The path from the gate to the door was not cleared of snow, making it a bit difficult to walk.

I cannot recommend this B&B enough. Great room with extra little touches, basket of fruit, tea and coffee and even a complimentary bottle of Prosecco, along with a small fridge. Darren was an exceptional host, and we enjoyed our morning chats with him. We were made to feel very welcome. Breakfast was excellent with a wide range of cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurts and sausage or bacon butties.
