I had an amazing stay at Explorers Retreat Matlock Bath! The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and my room had stunning views of the surrounding scenery. The atmosphere was peaceful and secure, making it a perfect retreat. The room itself was beautifully designed and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. I also appreciated the convenience of the parking facilities. I highly recommend this hotel and I can't wait to come back again soon.

We had an amazing stay at this hidden gem called the Explorers Retreat. The pirate-themed room was perfect for our family of four, and the beds were comfortable. The hotel's location was ideal, being just a short walk away from the town center and offering great value for money. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable.

we discovered that the toilet in our room was leaking, which was not a pleasant surprise. we were disturbed by noisy guests on the same floor who were shouting and talking until late at night, which made it difficult for us to sleep.

The location is perfect, right in the heart of all the attractions. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making check-in a breeze. The evening entertainment for the kids was adorable and family-oriented. The themed rooms were a big hit with my children, especially the princess castle. The breakfast delivered to the room was delicious.

We had a fantastic stay at the Explorers Retreat Matlock Bath Villa. the room was lovely and warm with a fantastic view. the themed decor, especially the pirate room we stayed in, was well thought out and the attention to detail was excellent. the staff were friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome. the hotel is located on the theme park, which was convenient for us as we were visiting. There were great themes for children and even an evening dino trail and children's entertainment. the on-site pizza takeaway had tasty food and there were even essential items available to borrow from the reception, such as baby items. it was a great value for a family stay.

We stayed at Explorers Retreat for a weekend getaway and had a fantastic time. The attention to detail in the rooms was excellent, with comprehensive amenities and a fabulous children's area that our boys absolutely loved. The hotel's location was convenient, close to amenities in Matlock Bath, and offered beautiful views of the surrounding area. The rooms were well decorated and very clean, showing that the hotel had put a lot of thought into making our stay comfortable. We're already planning to come back in the future for a longer stay and enjoy all the little details this hotel has to offer.

As a family staying at Explorers Retreat, we had such a wonderful experience. The hotel is quirky and brilliant for kids, with engaging rooms designed just for them. The facilities were excellent, providing everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The breakfast options were delicious, with piping hot food delivered to our room at 9am. The staff, especially the manager, were extremely accommodating and friendly. We also enjoyed the table tennis outside our room, which the children loved. it was the most child-friendly place we have ever stayed and we would highly recommend it to families.

The location of Explorers Retreat Matlock Bath was absolutely perfect for exploring the charming town nearby. My children and I stayed in the beach hut rooms, which were delightful. We had access to a common room with plates and a microwave, and even a fridge in our own room. The view over the valley was breathtaking, especially with the Heights of Abraham cable cars gliding by. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the staff were always helpful and friendly. The hotel truly caters to families, which was perfect for us.

While overall our stay was wonderful, there were a couple of minor issues. The sink being on top of the toilet was a bit inconvenient and took some getting used to.
