The staff were friendly and professional. Well-equipped room and nicely decorated. Close to Ayr and motorway. Atmosphere in the bar was great, had interesting conversations with locals.

The hotel is conveniently located in the town centre and close to attractions related to a famous poet. There is a free public car park nearby, which was convenient for parking. the reception, bar, and restaurant were modern and tastefully decorated, creating a pleasant first impression.

We waited a long time before being able to place our food order, and even had to ask for it ourselves. we asked for ice cream for our young child, which took a while to arrive.

Very pleasant surprise! We stumbled upon this hidden gem for lunch and were blown away. The decor was beautiful and the garden area was stunning. Fraser, our waiter, was friendly and helped us choose delicious dishes from the extensive menu. The food was impeccable and presented beautifully. We had a truly delightful experience. highly recommended.

Natalie greeted us warmly and the room was modern and the bed was incredibly comfortable. the staff in the dining room were also friendly and efficient. If we return to Mauchline, we will definitely choose Fairburn again.

The breakfast options were excellent, and the location with a river view from the small balcony into the lounge area was just perfect. The cleanliness of the hotel was outstanding, and the parking facilities were great. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.
