It was our first visit to the area and we stayed for three nights. The room was spacious, clean, and offered a lovely view of the garden and a glimpse of the lake. The extra touches like fresh milk for tea and homemade cakes were a delightful surprise. The breakfast was incredibly tasty with a wide variety of choices.

We loved staying here! The hotel's best aspects were its great location close to the town center and the beautiful view over Windemere. The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of options to choose from. Plus, the staff were lovely and very accommodating. The private parking was a bonus, especially as the hotel is situated on top of a steep hill. We would definitely stay here again when visiting this city.

Convenient location, splendid style, clean and airy rooms, excellent host and staff. Great breakfast options, with a full English and smaller choice available. Room was good, although not a fan of four-poster beds. Close to Lake attractions. an excellent stay. Just be prepared for a slight uphill walk after enjoying a few drinks.

I had a fantastic stay at this lovely guest house. Everything looked brand new, and the room was spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfy, and there was plenty of storage. The bathroom had a nice shower room. The room was well equipped with a TV, hairdryer, kettle, and a wide selection of teas and coffees. They even provided a jar of shortbread. I loved the touch of having a fridge in the hallway with complimentary water, milk, and a different variety of homemade cake each day. The breakfast was plentiful with a great choice of fruits, juices, cereals, yogurts, toast. The hotel is conveniently located just a few minutes' walk from the town center and the waterfront. It's in an area where people can have a good start to an energetic day of walking. The staff, including the helpful host and the pleasant lady who assists with breakfast, were wonderful. I will definitely be back and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else.

Everything was great.

Had a good Christmas break at a cozy B&B. Loved the location, close to everything and a nice field nearby for hiking. Room was comfortable and the shower looked newly redone. Bed was super comfy and we all slept well. Staff was friendly and gave good dog-friendly recommendations. Breakfast was tasty and the afternoon cake and shortbread in the room were a nice touch.

The room amenities were top-notch, with heating, tea and coffee facilities, and a flat-screen TV. We also loved the terrace area where we could relax and enjoy the lovely garden. The breakfast spread was impressive, offering a great variety of options to suit all tastes.

The room was clean, near town and walking distance to lake. The host, Nick, was great. Delicious breakfast with bonus carrot cake and brownies upon arrival. Hosts and staff were welcoming and friendly. Excellent location. Good breakfast selection. Comfortable guest lounge. Stunning gardens.

Nothing I didn't like to be fair.

The location was perfect, just a short walk to the charming village with its shops, restaurants, and bars. The room was tastefully decorated with a fabulous bathroom and a powerful shower. We enjoyed the homebaked treats and fresh milk provided daily. The spacious garden and seating areas were a wonderful bonus. The owners were extremely helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.

There was some mold on the ceiling above the wardrobe in one of the rooms. It didn't affect our short stay but could be problematic for longer stays.

I had an amazing stay at Fairfield House And Gardens. The value for money was great and the room was cozy and clean. The location was perfect, close to everything but still felt secluded. The staff treated me with utmost kindness and made me feel right at home.

The breakfast selection could be improved with better poached eggs and less dry bacon.
