We stayed at this luxurious guesthouse in the hilltop area of Durham and had a fantastic experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially Anna, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. The room we were allocated was spacious and clean, with a beautiful view of the surrounding area. We were pleasantly surprised by the upmarket Indian restaurant attached to the hotel, where we enjoyed a delicious meal. The location of this place was perfect for us, as it was in a quiet and leafy area just outside the city centre. We could easily access the centre by walking or taking a short taxi ride. we were impressed by the enhanced comfort and quality services provided by this hotel.

This hotel is located at the top of an extremely steep hill, which may be challenging for some guests. However, we found it to be a minor inconvenience and would still highly recommend this place to others.

The entrance hall was welcoming and Ann, the host, was friendly and knowledgeable. The room was clean and had character. The breakfast menu had good choices and the full English breakfast was excellent. The grounds offered lovely views and the on-site Indian restaurant was excellent.

Felt right at home, nothing was too much trouble.

This place is located in a peaceful residential neighborhood, offering an easy walk to the town center. I enjoyed the excellent service, including attentive room service and immaculate housekeeping. The staff was very accommodating, even granting us a tailor-made breakfast to fit our dietary needs. The room was equipped with everything we needed, including free toiletries and cooking utensils.

The decor of the guesthouse was excellent, creating a beautiful and inviting atmosphere. The Cathedral room on the top floor had amazing views of Durham. The room itself was spacious, clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. It was a nice touch to have a bag of fudge and bottled water waiting for us in the fridge. The breakfast provided a great variety and the staff were friendly and attentive.

The ceiling height in the room was unsuitable for taller individuals, as my partner and I constantly had to crouch to avoid hitting our heads. The steps leading down to the rest of the room gave the impression of enough headroom, but this turned out to be misleading.

I had a great stay at this place! The location is perfect for exploring the city, as it is situated in a quiet residential suburb near the town centre. It's just a short taxi ride or a 20-minute walk away. Plus, being at the top of a hill, the views from the hotel are absolutely stunning.

During my stay at this guesthouse, I was pleased with its central location near the city centre of Durham. It allowed me to easily explore the city on foot without spending much on transportation. Moreover, as a low-budget traveler, I appreciated the proximity to Indian restaurants, which I found to be affordable and delicious. The room I stayed in had a lovely view of the well-tended gardens, providing a tranquil atmosphere. The service was friendly and the breakfast offered was outstanding, ensuring a satisfying start to the day.

I did experience some noise disturbances from other guests during the night, which affected my overall comfort.

The hotel had a really nice interior that had clearly been refurbished to a high standard. the rooms were well-fitted out and the bed was incredibly comfortable. the staff were also friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. the location was perfect, with easy access to the town and its own convenient car park.

the service at the on-site restaurant was extremely slow, with a long wait time between ordering and receiving our meal. It would have been helpful if they had communicated the delay to us and offered alternative arrangements.

The location of the hotel was really convenient for exploring the city on foot. We especially enjoyed the nearby restaurant and bar that allowed us to try local drinks. the staff were extremely polite and caring, and one of the complementary facts offered was a great surprise. the WiFi service was amazing, too.

The room was poorly lit which made it difficult to put on makeup at night. there was no bell to call hotel staff for assistance for a half-day while the manager was sick.

This Guest House is conveniently located just a short downhill walk from the city centre. The clean rooms offer stunning views of the Cathedral. The delicious full English breakfast served in the dining room is a great way to start the day. The free on-site car park is an added bonus. Amelia and Jamie provide a very friendly welcome and excellent hospitality. a highly recommended option for a quality stay near the centre of town, especially for those on a limited budget.
