Everything was spot on.

We stumbled across this hotel online and immediately fell in love with its charming and period decor. the open plan room we were upgraded to exceeded our expectations with its spacious layout and luxurious amenities. the double sinks and free-standing copper bath in the bathroom were a wonderful touch. We also enjoyed the small private veranda outside our room, a rare treat in a city hotel. the location was extremely convenient, with a two-minute walk to the nearest underground station on a central circle line.

Despite the overall positive experience, there were a few downsides. the noise from a generator or AC machine right outside our window was a bit disruptive and could be bothersome at times.

The rooms are well-furnished and equipped with amenities such as a Nespresso machine and a mini-bar. The bathrooms are spacious and clean, with Victorian roll top baths and soft towels provided. The staff is friendly and committed to providing excellent customer service. the breakfast served at the hotel is hearty and satisfying.

The pub itself could use a refurbishment to enhance the overall experience for guests.

During my recent visit to London, I had the pleasure of staying at a charming hotel. The boutique rooms were comfortable and uniquely decorated. Despite being located above a lively pub, the rooms were surprisingly quiet. The convenience of having the pub downstairs made it a great dining option, and the food was delicious. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the Barbican tube station and close to all the tourist attractions. If you're able to manage stairs, I highly recommend this delightful find!

The narrow landings being cluttered with laundry and cleaning supplies were not how I wanted to be greeted upon arrival. without a bottle opener, I was unable to fully enjoy the mini bar.
