Everything was spot on.

We stumbled across this hotel online and immediately fell in love with its charming and period decor. The open plan room we were upgraded to exceeded our expectations with its spacious layout and luxurious amenities. The double sinks and free-standing copper bath in the bathroom were a wonderful touch. We also enjoyed the small private veranda outside our room, a rare treat in a city hotel. The location was extremely convenient, with a two-minute walk to the nearest underground station on a central circle line.

Despite the overall positive experience, there were a few downsides. The noise from a generator or AC machine right outside our window was a bit disruptive and could be bothersome at times.

The staff is friendly and committed to providing excellent customer service. the breakfast served at the hotel is hearty and satisfying.

Despite being located above a lively pub, the rooms were surprisingly quiet. The convenience of having the pub downstairs made it a great dining option, and the food was delicious. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the Barbican tube station and close to all the tourist attractions. If you're able to manage stairs, I highly recommend this delightful find!
