The Christmas decorations were wonderful, creating a festive atmosphere. the complimentary tea and coffee provided in the room were a nice touch, as was the daily housekeeping service. the hotel's location was great, with easy access to the city centre and nearby attractions. Getting parking was fairly simple too, which was a relief during the busy holiday season.

The room was quite noisy and we could hear everything happening in the adjacent rooms. the heating system in our room wasn't functioning properly, so we had to ask reception to fix it.

The location of the guest house was very convenient, with a bus stop nearby, a short walk to the river, and relatively close to the center of the city. The room was exceptionally clean and well-decorated, with lots of mirrors, great lighting, and plenty of plug sockets. The bathroom was spotless, and the whole place was a delight to stay in.

We received a warm welcome and the location was fantastic, just a short walk into the city. The staff were pleasant and the property was clean and well presented. Plenty of tea and coffee sachets were provided and there were useful leaflets and maps available.

The hotel is located in a quiet residential area, just a short walk from the city centre. The staff were extremely helpful and responsive, even before our stay. The rooms were well-equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, a TV, and a comfortable bed. The breakfast included in the price was made with high-quality ingredients and provided a great start to the day.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and had all the amenities we needed, including USB charging points and a comfortable bed. The location was perfect, just a short walk along the River to the center of the city. We also had the option of taking a bus, which stopped just a few meters from the hotel and took us to the train station in less than 10 minutes. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we even enjoyed a delicious and inexpensive breakfast during our stay.

My recent stay at Friars Rest Guest House was delightful. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the town center. The room was clean and bright, with plenty of wardrobe space. The bed was a bit on the small side, but it was comfortable for a couple of nights. I appreciated the abundance of plug sockets, as it's often a problem in hotels. the room had everything I needed for a comfortable stay.

For the price we paid, we got great value and a spacious, clean room. The location was perfect, just a short stroll to York Castle and the city centre. The owners were friendly and helpful, even providing us with plates and cutlery for our takeaway.

We were greeted with a warm welcome and felt at home the moment we arrived. The room was spotlessly clean and the bathroom was impeccable. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel truly valued as guests. The location of the guest house was perfect, with the Barbican Centre just a short walk away and convenient amenities like a local Co-op and takeaway restaurants nearby. Our room was cozy and the price was excellently reasonable. We were even able to easily catch a taxi to the train station in just 5 minutes. it was a fantastic stay and we would definitely return. Highly recommended!
