Wonderful friendly staff welcomed me like a long-lost friend on a chilly evening. the roaring fire in the bar was a comforting beacon, much like a lighthouse guiding ships to safety. Their fantastic wine list made choosing a glass feel like finding a treasure map to hidden gems.

The inn is conveniently located near the M6/A66 junction with a warm welcome and cozy room. The food was delicious with a good selection of drinks. some rooms were small and lacked storage space, while dinner reservations can be challenging on weekends. a lovely stopover with friendly staff and a great breakfast.

The value for money at this lovely old inn was excellent, and the room we stayed in was comfortable and nicely decorated. The hotel is located in a quiet village, but still easily accessible from the motorway. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making our stay even more enjoyable.

They helped me find parking which was handy. Everything suits me perfectly , Wi, Fi, free parking, luggage storage. Plus, there's a bar, a restaurant, and a welcome drink with VIP check, in/out. Ideal for my hiking trips. Always coming back here.

we stayed at the george and dragon clifton inn, and it was a delightful experience. the cozy interiors and convenient location for a stopover to scotland made our stay very pleasant. the relaxed atmosphere and dog-friendly policy added to our happiness. not to mention, the outstanding breakfast left us satisfied and ready for the day ahead. easy access from the motorway and a warmly decorated room with a comfortable bed completed our enjoyable stay.

It's worth noting that they welcome dogs, and while we're not particularly dog lovers, we were amazed by how well-behaved the owners and their four-legged companions were. However, it might be helpful for future guests with dog allergies to be aware of their presence. the ambience was simply amazing, and as a solo traveler with my furry friend, I felt incredibly welcomed. The staff went above and beyond. The room was immaculate and comfortable, and the food was simply delightful. The location was convenient, near the M6 and A66.
