gidleigh park was the best hotel ever, staff were genuinely nice & accommodating, food was superb , cozy setting. lovely grounds & facilities, meeting chef caines was a bonus! outlaws approved, daughter felt welcome. couldn't find a single fault, exceeded all expectations.

I had the most fantastic stay at this hotel. The setting on Dartmoor was absolutely beautiful, with extensive wooded grounds by the River Teign. The staff was superbly attentive and managed to strike the perfect balance between being attentive and unobtrusive. The hotel facilities were top-notch, with clean and comfortable rooms that offered stunning views over the landscape. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate any special requests. I loved the fact that they provided rucksacks with everything I needed for walks in the area. the hotel provided a relaxed and unhurried atmosphere of luxury without any pretensions.

The surroundings were breathtaking and the walk towards the charming town was enjoyable. the staff were friendly and attentive. We commend the delicious food and the excellent selection of tea.

It was a disappointing Christmas experience. the decoration in the rooms was minimal, and the heating was not enough to keep us warm during the night.

As a weary traveler, I was thrilled with my stay at Gidleigh Park. The staff's high level of training and warm hospitality made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The beautiful gardens, with their well-maintained grounds and water features, provided a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The picnic hamper and afternoon tea were a delightful treat, featuring delicious produce and exquisite presentation. The arts & crafts inspired furniture in my room added a lovely touch, and the breakfast selection was excellent. I couldn't have asked for better service or a more enjoyable stay. Thank you to Simon and the entire team for their hard work and dedication.

The service is exceptional, with attentive and knowledgeable staff. Breakfast is excellent, offering a delicious start to the day. The terrace overlooking the stream is a tranquil spot to enjoy a drink and soak in the peaceful atmosphere.

Here, we found ourselves immersed in luxurious amenities, where exclusive room advantages and beautiful garden areas surrounded us. the impeccable service by friendly staff left us feeling truly pampered. the restaurant served exquisite cuisine and the in-room breakfast was delicious.

The only minor issue we encountered was with the noise levels from the corridor and cleaners, which we could hear in our room. there could have been more plug sockets available.
