Best staycation ever! Foodies rejoice! The restaurants were superb, top-quality ingredients and delicious recipes. We really enjoyed the spice restaurant- the sharing menu was a trip to heaven! The location is amazing, surrounded by nature and a great atmosphere; you can disconnect from everything. We were impressed by the facilities, there were so many original features and attractions! It was just what we needed to relax and unwind this year. The only downside was the wifi signal was weak, but it allowed us to have a real digital detox! Highly recommended!

We recently stayed at a lovely hotel by the path at the front of the decking, named Buttermere. The garden suite was comfortable and well-equipped, providing us with everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The staff at the hotel were incredibly helpful and provided excellent service throughout our visit. The breakfast was delicious, with a wide range of options to choose from. The view from our suite was simply breathtaking, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the beautiful location. the hotel offered fantastic facilities and advantages, such as parking assistance and a spa.

The only downside was the occasional rowdiness of other guests in the common areas.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a fabulous country hotel in a pretty location. The rooms at Gilpin Hotel & Lake House were beautifully appointed and had high-quality fixtures and fittings. I especially loved the thick fluffy towels and locally sourced toiletries. The staff were discreetly attentive and knowledgeable, and the food was delicious. I enjoyed a tasting menu on the first night and had a fantastic breakfast with a wide range of dishes to choose from. The gardens were also lovely, and I enjoyed seeing the alpacas on the grounds. my experience at Gilpin Hotel & Lake House was exceptional.

I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making me feel right at home. The location was perfect, with beautiful views and the convenience of being able to walk to nearby attractions. The highlight for me was the amazing food at the Gilpin Spice restaurant, it was truly exceptional. The room and the decor throughout the hotel were also stunning, and the bathroom was fabulous.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming hotel in the heart of the Lakes. The Gilpin Hotel & Lake House provided a warm and genuine welcome upon arrival. The room was incredibly comfortable with a bright and airy atmosphere. I appreciated the attention to detail, including the complimentary tea and coffee, as well as the range of toiletries in the bathroom. The communal areas, such as the dining rooms and bar, were tastefully decorated, creating a cozy atmosphere. The friendly staff made the experience even more enjoyable, and the beautifully attended gardens were a delight to explore. I would highly recommend this property to others and look forward to returning in the future.

our romantic stay at gilpin was beyond perfect. the staff, especially juilen, were so friendly and helpful. the food quality and service at the restaurants exceeded our expectations. and the pic nic on the lake was simply romantic.

As young people, we loved the amazing spa lodge facilities, the good Wi-Fi, and the beautiful gardens.

The restaurant served delectable food, and the in-room breakfast was a delightful start to our mornings. The bar/lounge area offered a cozy atmosphere to relax and enjoy a drink. The location advantages allowed easy access to explore the nearby attractions.

The only minor issue encountered was that one of the meals at the restaurant did not meet our expectations for the price. However, this did not overshadow the overall outstanding experience provided by the hotel.

We loved the warm and attentive staff. The Champagne at the bar and the fabulous wine cellar were highlights. The owners, particularly Barney, made us feel welcome. The dinner was excellent, with perfect wine recommendations. The bed was sumptuous and breakfast met our expectations. The visit to The Lake House was overwhelming, with staff eager to show us around. We left full of excitement and plans for future events.

Felt safe walking at night, no reason to complain.
