Lovely room, friendly staff, beautiful surroundings, and a hotel with a proud, shared history. The small wedding we witnessed spoke highly of the amazing staff, who went above and beyond. The hotel's unusual building and close proximity to the attractive town was a plus. Our top-floor room was small but had a lovely outlook. The attentive and friendly staff, along with the spaciousness of the hotel, added to the overall experience. The served breakfast was superb, with a wide selection and exceptional service. A good all-rounder that made us feel good.

We also appreciated the extra space on the veranda, allowing us to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Despite a small desk in the room, we managed to work comfortably. We were impressed by the level of service when we needed to extend our stay and the staff went above and beyond to reserve a room for us at another property. we had a relaxing and enjoyable experience at Glen-Yr-Afon House and would highly recommend it.

I recently stayed at this luxurious 4-star hotel and was truly impressed. The location of this place is simply stunning, nestled in a beautiful part of the world. The setting is so picturesque, with well-maintained gardens that are a treat to explore. On top of that, the hotel offers a wide range of services to enhance comfort and convenience. The room service was exceptional, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my stay was perfect. The housekeeping was meticulous, and the room was always clean and fresh. I also appreciated the little touches such as the welcome drink and the in-room amenities like ironing facilities and a tea and coffee setup.

If I had to recommend this place to my friends, I would say that the only downside was the lack of an elevator and the presence of stairs. However, this was a minor inconvenience and was easily overshadowed by the other positive aspects of the hotel.

I had a fabulous short stay weekend at Glen-Yr-Afon and I would definitely recommend it. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. The hotel itself has a charming and traditional character, which added to the overall experience. The food was superb, and the location was convenient, with Usk high street just a stone's throw away and offering a picturesque setting.

Spent Christmas here and it was absolutely delightful! the beautiful decorations around the hotel really got me into the festive spirit. the food was delicious and the staff were always friendly and helpful. the location was perfect for exploring the town and nearby attractions. I also loved the cozy and comfortable beds, which made my stay even more enjoyable.

The only downside of my stay was that the room felt a bit cramped. While it was cute and charming, it was smaller than I expected and didn't leave much room to move around.
