The hotel was beautifully designed with exposed beams and stonework, giving it a charming and rustic feel. Our room was exceptional, finished to a high standard and provided all the necessary amenities. the outside dining and drinking area was also impressive, with evident investment. the hotel's location was perfect, offering stunning views from the nearby hill. If ever in the area again, we would without hesitation choose to stay here.

While the overall breakfast tasted very good, the self-service coffee machine gave it a chain hotel vibe. This detail could have been enhanced with a pot of freshly brewed coffee or tea.

The bar staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay at Gosforth Inn truly enjoyable. The venison and haggis pie was absolutely divine, and the portion sizes were great. The picturesque beer garden was a perfect suntrap. I highly recommend this lovely inn for its grub and service.

The location is perfect, allowing for easy access to both the sea and the mountains. The staff provided great recommendations on local attractions and the food at the restaurant was delicious. The room was massive with old features that really stood out, making us feel like we were in an episode of Game of Thrones. The bathroom was equally big and everything was extremely clean. The staff were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The restaurant was brilliant with quick service and delicious food. The use of local produce for breakfast raised the bar for us, especially the excellent local Cumbrian sausage. The hotel is a great base for exploring the West Lakes and coast.

I had a fantastic time at the Gosforth Hall Inn! I stayed for a few nights while exploring the beautiful Lake District. The views from my room were absolutely lovely, and the separate block where my room was located was very nice. The rooms themselves were superbly appointed, and I thoroughly enjoyed the lively bar and good restaurant on-site. The hotel's location was perfect for my climb up Scafell Pike. It may not be the cheapest place to stay, but it's definitely worth the money!

Best weekend getaway! the hotel we stayed at was in a quaint village close to the beach and lakes. the room we stayed in was spotless and the bed was incredibly comfortable. the staff were very friendly and welcoming, and always willing to help. the homemade food served in the hotel was delicious, and we especially enjoyed the pies. We also loved exploring the pretty village, and we were lucky we got to hike around the dramatic Wastwater area.

This did not take away from our pleasant stay. An additional improvement could be offering a pot of coffee or tea at breakfast, instead of using a self-service machine.

The hotel's location on the hill provided breathtaking views of the surrounding fields and was away from the hustle and bustle of the central lakes. It was also conveniently close to WastWater lake, perfect for exploring the beauty of the area. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service, ensuring that all our needs were met. And lastly, the breakfast had a variety of options to suit all tastes.

All in all, this hotel was a fantastic place to stay.

We recently stayed at a fabulous attic suite at the Hall Inn. The room, which used to be Room 11 but is now Room 7, was magnificent. It was clean, spacious, and had no sign of any ghosts. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. The location of the inn was excellent, as it was away from the bustling central lakes but still provided easy access to attractions such as Ravenglass, Muncaster Castle, Wast Water, and Ennerdale. The bed in our room was massive and very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The breakfast provided was also very good.

First of all, the value for money at the Hall Inn was outstanding! The room was top-notch, with beautiful modern oak furniture, a super comfy yet firm bed, and original beams that added a lovely touch. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and the location was perfect for a peaceful getaway.

The only thing that could have made breakfast even better would be if they served coffee or tea from a pot instead of a machine. Otherwise, everything was great!
