We had a wonderful stay at a charming and classy little place in West Sussex. The staff were very friendly and the food was fantastic, especially at the pub attached to the hotel. Our room in the beautifully renovated stable block was comfortable and spacious, with contemporary country style furnishings and scenic views of the fields. Upon arrival, I had gotten lost on my way to Halfway Bridge and was in a bit of a panic. The manager, Henry, and his assistant, Chloe, were incredibly understanding and helped me find a solution. They booked me a room and even arranged for a delicious freshly cooked fish and chips meal, despite the kitchen being closed. The room itself was perfect, with quality furnishings and a comfortable bed. The breakfast in the morning was amazing, with plenty of options and homemade bread. The staff were professional and attentive, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. The location was quiet and peaceful, away from the busy road, and the rooms were clean and well-maintained. I will definitely be recommending Halfway Bridge to others. a fantastic experience!

disappointing menu selection

The hotel was a great place to spend the Christmas holidays with my family. the rooms were impeccably clean, cozy, and had all the necessary amenities. We especially liked the fact that the hotel was located in a peaceful rural area, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. the chefs did a great job with every dish, and their attention to detail was commendable. Not to mention the staff who were warm and welcoming, making us feel at home.

I have to mention a few things that could have been better. the parking space was not sufficient, which meant we had to park a bit far from our rooms.

Friendly staff provided complimentary transportation. Excellent manager who genuinely cared about guests. Top-notch accommodation in converted barns. Delicious meals and great service. Upgraded room given without request. A perfect, quiet getaway.

I stayed here for business, but it's definitely a place I would consider coming back to for pleasure. The pub had a cozy feel and the staff were friendly. Can't recommend it highly enough!

There were a couple of minor issues with locking the room and the tight latch on the bathroom door. More car parking space near the chalets would have been preferred.
