We had a great city break here! The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. It was a bonus to have drinks machines on each floor with biscuits for guests. The large bathroom was spotless with a good-sized shower. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were really helpful.

That there was no lift facility, which could be an issue for disabled guests. , the hotel policies of taking payment in advance and the process for room cancellations could be improved.

The location was perfect for exploring the nearby Peak District, which was absolutely stunning. We were also pleasantly surprised by the selection of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. The modern room was really lovely, and the staff were always friendly and helpful. One thing I particularly liked was the tea and coffee facilities in the hallway instead of in the room.

Although there were mostly positive aspects, there were a few things I didn't like. the pancakes at breakfast were the worst I've ever had.

Great couple's retreat! The complimentary bubbly and chocolates were a sweet bonus. The location was perfect for exploring the city and the nearby park. We loved the cozy fireplace in the lobby.

It was much smaller than expected and had a strange odor. The bed was uncomfortable and squeaky.

Excellent choice

Stayed here initially for a couple of nights on business and had to spend a couple of nights at another hotel. Eventually returned and stayed for about 3-4 weeks. Found all the staff excellent, very professional and friendly. Tried the whole menu and dinner and breakfast were first class. When I’m next in the area, this will be my first choice. Thank you to all the staff for making my stay a pleasure. I highly recommend this hotel.
