The owner and bar staff at The Ham And Cheese were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The rooms were excellent, with comfortable beds and plenty of amenities like milk and coffee. The food was outstanding and good value for money. The location was perfect for visiting attractions like Flamingo Land and Whitby. The breakfast and evening menu had a good variety of options. Despite a few minor drawbacks, overall I'll definitely recommend this hotel.

I recently stayed at a hotel near Scagglethorpe and had a fantastic experience. the staff were incredibly pleasant and always had a smile on their faces. They were young but very helpful and friendly. Secondly, the location of the hotel was perfect for exploring the surrounding areas. It was close to the coast, the North Yorks Moors, and even York. Lastly, the rooms were comfortable with two good single beds and a huge double bed. I especially liked that the rooms were located in a separate bungalow at the back, which minimized noise from the main inn. it was a great place to stop overnight, especially if you're planning to visit Flamingoland.

This hotel is excellent value for money. The prices are affordable, and you get a lot for what you pay. The attention to detail is impressive, with clean and freshly decorated rooms. The basic amenities are provided, and the bathroom facilities are great. The location is excellent, with plenty of activities nearby such as the coast, the North Yorks Moors, and York. The staff are friendly and provide excellent service. The breakfast is cooked to perfection, and the food in general is delicious. I especially enjoyed the big portions and the variety of options available. I will definitely be returning next year if possible.

The choice and range of food did not disappoint, with fantastic options for all. The staff were extremely attentive and went above and beyond, especially Alex and Sam. The family room was lovely and quiet, perfect for a peaceful stay. Clair and Shaun, the owners, were a delight to deal with. Special mention to Andrea, who brightened every day with her hard work and friendly nature.

Location and food were good for the money. We really enjoyed the Christmas menu, which was tasty and well-prepared. the room was cozy and well decorated for the holiday season, which helped to create a nice Christmassy atmosphere. the staff was also polite and welcoming.

There was no storage space and the bathroom was not well-maintained. the shower was not powerful and there were signs of mould and lime scale.

Lovely quiet location just off main road, perfect for walks with dog. Spacious room with fan and mini fridge. Fantastic breakfast with local sausages. Friendly atmosphere in the bar used by locals.

Felt very well looked after, staff went above and beyond.
