It was so quiet and peaceful, yet still very close to Newcastle, Hadrian's Wall, and other interesting places to visit.

hedgefield house in ryton was a delight! the comfortable room had tea and coffee-making items, a lovely washbasin, and towels provided. the delightful breakfast had so many choices. the staffs were friendly and supportive, and the shared bathroom was great.

Double glazing would have made it perfect.

The house had a charming and relaxing atmosphere, and the owners were working hard to restore its period details. the spacious and clean bedroom had beautiful gardens and easy parking.

We were initially surprised to be in the annex instead of the main historic house, and the private bathroom was located across a corridor. the cleanliness of the bathroom could have been improved, and some of the carpets and fittings appeared old.

We had a very comfortable and warm stay at Hedgefield House. the staff, including David, were incredibly friendly and helpful. They assisted us in figuring out the local buses, making our travel around the area much easier. Despite opting for a shared bathroom, there were always two clean and well-maintained facilities available. We would highly recommend Hedgefield House to anyone looking for a comfortable and hassle-free stay in the area.

The room was spacious with extra pillows which was a plus. We also enjoyed having a sink in the room and being able to make tea and coffee. the location was convenient for our plans and we appreciated the helpfulness of the staff in directing us to our destination.

Our stay was marred by a noisy group of guests who had been to a wedding. the noise disturbed us during the night and we had to contact management for a resolution.

We booked for two nights as part of our anniversary trip and on arrival we were offered the honeymoon suite. The room and everything about it was huge and amazing. From the four-poster bed to the spacious bathroom with his and hers wash basins, everything was perfect. The well-kept gardens provided a beautiful backdrop, and the staff were incredibly helpful. The complimentary box of chocolates was a lovely touch from the owner. We can't wait to come back again!

The hotel is just a short walk away from an excellent pub/restaurant, making it easy to enjoy a delicious meal. Additionally, it is close to a bus stop that provides easy access to Newcastle city center, as well as the Metro centre for shopping enthusiasts.

It would be even more enjoyable if there was a small bar on-site, where guests could relax with a glass of wine while overlooking the beautiful gardens.

The room was clean and comfortable with tea making facilities. the location was convenient for our romantic escape as there were restaurants and shops nearby. We enjoyed the beautiful garden view from our room, it was very peaceful and relaxing.

The walls were too thin so we could hear every noise from other guests’ rooms.
