I recently stayed at Holiday Inn in Newcastle for a stop-over between Cambridge and the Scottish highlands. The hotel was close to amenities and very quiet in the evenings. The breakfast had lots of choices and was fresh and hot. The pool and spa facilities were great for both kids and adults. Despite the small gym, the equipment was top-notch.
