We had a very warm and friendly welcome at this hotel. It was close to the centre and the railway station, which was exactly what we wanted. The staff was helpful and friendly, providing us with advice on the best eating spots and nearby attractions. The room we were upgraded to was lovely, with a separate accommodation and a free-standing bath. It was immaculately clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast was excellent and freshly cooked, with plenty of options to suit all dietary needs.

The room at Holmwood House Guest Accommodation was comfortable and clean. We were pleased with the close proximity to the city center and the quick check-in process. The staff at breakfast were friendly and accommodating. Despite a few minor issues, like the Wi-Fi, the overall experience was enjoyable.

One drawback was that the hot water didn't work in our room. Additionally, the noise from the traffic was quite loud and the windows were old, which impacted our sleep quality.

Some furniture in the rooms, such as the dressing table and wardrobe, appeared a bit dated.
