The rooms, though not ultra modern as one might expect from an 18th century inn, are surprisingly clean and comfortable. The attention to detail is evident, with a well-stocked tea tray and rooms that are thoughtfully papered with massive flowers. I particularly enjoyed the view from my room, it added a nice touch to my birthday celebration. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, making sure that my needs were met. The breakfast served in the light and airy dining room was delightful, with beautiful eggs straight from the owner's hens. The locally sourced food, especially the sausages, added a lovely touch to the meal.

They even delivered breakfast to our room one morning! The food was excellent, with a great selection for both breakfast and dinner. The peaceful surroundings were perfect for a relaxing getaway. I also loved the little extras, like the fresh milk and homemade biscuits in our room. Can't wait to come back!

The staff happily prepared a packed lunch for our early departure, which was waiting for us as promised. The bathroom had a full-size bath with shower. Breakfast was excellent with a good wine selection. The hotel's location was beautiful, with a river, garden, and farm shop. The views from the rooms were stunning.

I recently stayed at a charming country pub with a great selection of real ales and gins. The location was absolutely stunning, nestled near Egton station in a beautiful area. The rooms were nicely furnished with lovely curtains and the bathrooms had fabulous local toiletries. The staff was very helpful and provided a warm welcome to our furry friend, even offering a special bed and treats for our dog. The breakfast menu had excellent choices and was presented beautifully. a wonderful experience.

It was nice to stay in a hotel that had friendly staff and offered a good variety of breakfast options. the bed was also very comfortable, which was a pleasant surprise. the hotel was located close to the train station and some nearby villages for easy exploration.

Our experience at this hotel was not quite enjoyable. the room was in poor condition with old and uncomfortable mattresses, and there were several light bulbs out.
