The rooms are clean and comfortable, with a refurbished bathroom that gives a modern touch. The staff is friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to assist guests. The breakfast is delicious, with tasty bacon and hash browns. Free guest parking is available, making it convenient for those traveling by car. a lovely place to stay with everything you need for a pleasant stay.

My room at Ilfracombe House had a beautiful bathroom and was on the top floor, providing a great view. Additionally, the staff were extremely friendly, offering a choice of rooms and even driving us into town when the weather was bad. The bar was reasonably priced, and overall it was a lovely stay. I would recommend this hotel for a short stay in Southend. I had a great experience at Ilfracombe House and would recommend it.

I especially loved the waiter service in the breakfast room, it made the whole experience more enjoyable. the location of the hotel was perfect for my business trip, as it was close to key locations and amenities.

While my room was generally comfortable, there were a few things that could have been improved. the bathroom was great, but unfortunately, it did not match the rest of the room in terms of quality.

The compact room at Ilfracombe House Hotel exceeded expectations with a larger size, usable fridge, and a bigger TV with better channels. The modern, well-decorated bathroom had a spacious shower enclosure. The hotel stood out compared to pricier hotels like Hilton and Marriott. The restaurant offered great food quality, ideal portion sizes, and good value prices. The staff were friendly and the hotel was clean. The location was fantastic, within walking distance to the front/pier, town center, and Westcliff for wonderful restaurants.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The proprietor was incredibly happy and helpful, going out of their way to make our stay special. The room was large, comfortable, and clean, with a lovely new bathroom. It was great to have tea and coffee facilities, as well as a fridge in the room. The location was perfect, right by the seaside, and within walking distance to the theatre and vegetarian places, which was great for us as vegetarians. The hotel also offered free parking, which was a brilliant bonus. The staff were very friendly, helping us with our luggage and parking as soon as we arrived. We even had a delicious breakfast included, with plenty of choices and the option to have eggs and extras cooked fresh to order. The two men running the hotel were charming, chatty, and super welcoming. We would definitely return!
