The view of the bay from the upstairs seating area was absolutely stunning! It was the perfect spot to enjoy a romantic dinner with my partner. The staff were also very friendly and recommended a fantastic restaurant next door for us to try. The bed in our room was incredibly comfortable, ensuring that we had a peaceful and restful night's sleep.

It was a bit frustrating to have to constantly adjust the temperature during my shower. Additionally, the noise level in the hotel could get quite loud, especially when the locals spilled out of the bar late at night.

My stay at this hotel was delightful. the location right on the harbour was perfect. I enjoyed waking up to a beautiful view over the water, which made me feel instantly relaxed. Secondly, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that I had everything I needed throughout my stay. Lastly, the rooms were equipped with basic amenities and the breakfast served was delicious. It was a great value for money experience.

I recently stayed at a hotel in beautiful coastal town. The location was superb, right at the harbour. I had a room with a stunning view of the water. The room itself was clean and comfortable, with a nice bathroom and friendly staff. Although the restaurant wasn't open, I found a wonderful alternative in the village. The hotel also had a cozy pub downstairs, perfect for winding down after a long day. it was a pleasant experience with the added bonus of being in the heart of the village.

I did encounter a small issue with the WiFi signal, which was a bit inconsistent.

The bar and restaurant areas were dominated by locals enjoying a Friday night out, making it difficult for hotel guests to access and enjoy. the bathrooms could do with some updating and cleanliness could be improved, as well as the lack of staff availability at check-out.

Amazing location overlooking the harbor. Lovely garden area as a bonus. Third bed in family room was technically a single bed, but suited us well. Squeaky mattress springs didn't affect our sleep. Staff provided space to store our bikes and cooked a delicious breakfast. Highly recommended.

Marion, the owner, was particularly lovely, taking the time to speak with us and provide helpful advice on places to visit. the hotel also had a beautiful garden area, which was a nice bonus. We can't wait to come back and highly recommend this gem of a hotel.

We had a fantastic stay at the Islay Frigate in Tarbert. The value for money was impressive and our room was clean, spacious, and had a stunning view of the harbor. The location was perfect, right in the heart of the village, and the staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome.

The only thing that could have made our morning meal better was if there were more breakfast options available.

There were a few downsides to our experience. the lack of clear signage and separate entrance for the hotel was confusing, especially with the noisy and busy bar on the weekends.
