We had a fantastic time exploring the beautiful Lakes during our stay here. The location of this place was ideal for taking in walks in and around the area. It was lovely and quiet, allowing us to truly relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The service provided by the staff was friendly and very helpful, making us feel welcome and ensuring that we had everything we needed. The amenities in the room were great, with a comfortable bed and a sitting area where we could unwind and enjoy a cup of tea while looking out over the stunning views. this hotel provided us with a wonderful experience and we would highly recommend it to families looking for a memorable stay.

Lake View Country House provided a perfect retreat for a romantic weekend away. The homemade granola at breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the comfortable bed and luxurious bedroom and bathroom added to the overall sense of relaxation. The owners even surprised us with a bottle of prosecco to celebrate our anniversary. The location was peaceful and quiet, with beautiful views overlooking the fields. The hosts were warm and welcoming, and their non-intrusive approach made us feel truly at ease. Checking in was a breeze, and we appreciated the thoughtful touch of a free glass of port and chocolates in the conservatory upon arrival. we had a fantastic experience and would definitely recommend Lake View Country House to others.

Although our stay at Lake View Country House was lovely, there were a few minor issues. there was no mirror in the bedroom, which made it inconvenient to dry my hair.

The view and location were amazing, with breathtaking views of the lake and hills. the building itself was charming and the parking was convenient. We also loved the cute little ducks in the back garden and the wildlife garden, showing their consideration for biodiversity.

There was no shower facility over the bath, which made it less convenient and not water conserving. the lack of a sofa in the sitting room was a bit disappointing.

The breakfast options were amazing, with a variety of cereals, homemade muesli, different types of bread, and a choice of cooked breakfasts. the staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. the location was convenient, close to shops and restaurants, and offered beautiful views of the surrounding nature.

The bathroom had some issues, with a leaking bathtub and a noisy boiler. the room had a small window facing the road, which wasn't the best view.

The Good Sport pub, just a short walk away, had delicious food and drink, including vegan options and homemade cider and ales. The breakfast choices were equally impressive, with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The hotel's location was perfect - close to shops and amenities yet still secluded enough to provide a peaceful retreat. Plus, my dog had a pawsome time too!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location was lovely and quiet, with beautiful views across to the lake and wild hills beyond. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom was very nice. The breakfast was perfect, with a great selection of delicious food. It was only a few minutes' walk from the village centre, but tucked away at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac. We also really enjoyed the new year fireworks, as the hotel was great for watching them.

We had a fabulous Christmas getaway at this hidden gem in the Lake District! the location was absolutely perfect, with stunning views of the fells and a private path leading to the lake. the room we stayed in was luxurious and beautifully decorated, with a comfy bed and modern bathroom. the best part was definitely the breakfast at the nearby pub, where we enjoyed delicious high-quality food. It was such a treat to have a full English breakfast included, plus a 10% discount on everything else.

That there was no shower in our bathroom, only a large bath. While it was nice to have a relaxing soak, a shower or mixer taps would have been a plus.
