little john hotel exceeded my expectations during my recent stay in hathersage. the breakfast was delicious and good value for money.

Comfortable beds, interesting bar with old photos and advertisements. Modern but small rooms. Locally focused. Lovely relaxing stay, beautifully decorated and clean rooms. Fab food, helpful staff. Dog-friendly, ample parking. Great base for walks and exploring the countryside. Super nice cottage, friendly staff, easy parking. Convenient location, close to city center and Lido.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel in Hathersage. The rooms were spacious, clean, and newly decorated. The hotel had great facilities, including multiple screens for watching sports. The selection of breakfast and drinks was also very good. The location was perfect, right in the center of the town and close to the station. It was also in a lovely area, with easy access to a late-night beer garden. The staff were friendly and helpful, ensuring I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The room I stayed in was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean, providing a comfortable environment for my stay. The hotel's location was ideal, offering easy access to the various attractions and sights in the area. the friendly and helpful staff made me feel welcome and ensured that my stay was enjoyable.

There were a few aspects that I didn't particularly like during my stay. One night, I was woken up by some noise, possibly due to the wind or doors in the hallway.

Great location in the heart of a charming village with easy access to train station and bus stop. Plenty of nearby pubs and shops.

The property was located in a charming town with plenty of options for dining and drinking. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of choices, and the meals served in the restaurant were substantial. The room itself was spacious and the bed was comfortable. I also appreciated the abundance of tea and coffee provided, as well as the fan provided to combat the heatwave.

The staff lacked enthusiasm and weren't very welcoming. The room and bathroom lacked hooks to hang clothes, and the bathroom design was poor with a dangerous step and a cramped shower cubicle.

The best aspects of my stay at this hotel were the location and the friendly staff. Being right in the centre of the town, it was convenient to explore the area and enjoy the local attractions. The hotel facilities were clean and well-maintained, and it was great to have accommodation linked with a pub. The staff were incredibly helpful and respectful, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. Lastly, the breakfast was freshly prepared and offered a good choice, ensuring a satisfying start to the day.

What a great find! Stayed at Little John for a weekend getaway. The staff were incredibly friendly and the room was cozy with a fantastic shower. Surprisingly, despite being on a busy road, it was remarkably quiet. The breakfast included was a massive, delicious full English, complete with perfectly cooked poached eggs. The location was ideal for stunning walks right outside the door. The hotel is also dog-friendly and provides treats in the bar and leftover sausages for breakfast. The rooms were lovely and had everything we needed, including bath robes and toiletries. We will definitely be returning!
