May Cottage B&B is in a fabulous location, close to the shops and restaurants in Bowness-on-Windermere. It is also conveniently situated near Brant Fell, offering stunning views of the lake. The rooms are spotlessly clean with comfortable beds and well-maintained bathrooms. The hosts, Simon and Joan, provide excellent service and a delicious breakfast. Guests are made to feel welcome and receive helpful recommendations about the area.

Limited facilities for those who enjoy karaoke and casinos.

I recently had a fantastic three-night stay in the Lakes at a charming B&B. First, the location was perfect - in a quiet area, within walking distance to the lake, pier, and plenty of restaurants and shops. Second, the room was beautiful and comfortable, with a super king-sized bed and a spacious en suite shower room. The attention to detail and cleanliness throughout the accommodation was spotless. Lastly, the breakfast selection was amazing, with plenty to choose from. this hotel provided excellent value for money, with its great location, comfortable rooms, and delicious breakfast.

this is our second time in bowness-on-windermere and may cottage b&b really exceeded our expectations. the hosts were knowledgeable and attentive, especially catering to my vegetarian partner. the location was ideal for exploring the countryside and the amenities of the town. the room had a great view and the free spa facilities were a bonus. highly recommend staying here!

Stairs a bit challenging for some.

Great location! Just a short walk from the center of town and the lake. The nearby restaurants and bars are really nice, perfect to spend a romantic evening. Loved the free spa access. It was a very nice place to relax after a long day outside exploring. The breakfasts were also excellent in quality, decent variety, and reasonably timed.

The rooms are too tiny, hardly any space to move about. The mattress was not comfortable, we had a terrible night's sleep.

Perfect location, welcoming hosts, provided essentials, warm and cosy cottage, fantastic recommendations, excellent breakfast.
