I had a wonderful stay here. The 4-star hotel was beautifully situated on the river, providing a stunning view. The staff at this venue were friendly and always ready to assist with any requests. The room was spacious and comfortable, with all the necessary amenities like ironing facilities and tea and coffee facilities. I especially enjoyed the sitting area and terrace, where I could relax and take in the surroundings. The free Wi-Fi in the rooms was also a great convenience. The hotel's dining restaurant and bar/lounge area were both fantastic. The service was top-notch and the food was exceptional. I felt like a king here, as the staff always went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and ensure my satisfaction. the customer service and general ambience of this place were outstanding.

As for cons, there was a minor issue with the bathroom during my stay, but the hotel staff had already taken steps to fix it. Despite this small inconvenience, I would still highly recommend this hotel to my friends.

The bathroom was massive and luxurious, adding a touch of indulgence to our stay. The hotel also had a sun terrace and a garden area, perfect for leisurely strolls or simply enjoying the scenery.

The location of the hotel is ideal for exploring the local Ironbridge museums, as it is very close to them. Additionally, the hotel is situated by the river, providing a scenic walk into Ironbridge. The rooms are beautiful and clean, with ensuite facilities. The staff is friendly and welcoming, making you feel at home. Breakfast is delicious and well-cooked, with a good selection of options. The hotel also offers amenities such as a fridge with bottled water and fresh milk for guests to enjoy.

The futon used as an extra bed was not comfortable as a sofa or a bed.

The value for money at Water Rat was excellent and our room was clean and comfortable. The location was perfect and the staff treated us with utmost friendliness and helpfulness throughout our stay.

The food for breakfast could have had a better selection of cereals and the coffee could use some improvement.

The room was incredibly spacious and had a lovely bathroom. The staff were all very friendly and attentive, making sure all our needs were met. The meals, both dinner and breakfast, were delicious and well-prepared. The location of the hotel is fantastic, with plenty of beautiful walks nearby and many attractions within walking distance.

The floorboards in the bedrooms were quite creaky, so it was difficult to move around without disturbing others. It would be great if this could be addressed in the future.

the water rat in ironbridge never fails to impress! the friendly staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and the food was absolutely delicious. the comfortable rooms and walking distance to local attractions made our stay even more enjoyable. highly recommend!

We loved our stay at The Water Rat! The staff were friendly and efficient, the rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and the evening meal in the steakhouse was delicious and reasonably priced. The location was perfect, close to Ironbridge but in a quiet area. The car parking was ample and we enjoyed sitting in the beer garden by the river.

Felt like visiting family, no reason to complain.

The evening meal we had was exceptional, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel and bar was top-notch. I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent service, cleanliness, and delicious food. Nothing that I didn't like.

The location of the hotel was great for a walk along the river to the Iron bridge. We enjoyed strolling through the meadows and exploring areas we were not supposed to be in. The restaurant where the staff were located was a bit of a pain to get to, but the food made up for the inconvenience. The room itself was basic, but clean and comfortable. The bathroom could use an update, but it served its purpose. The service from the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast had limited options, but the cooked breakfast was enjoyable.

The restaurant had a delicious steak and a variety of flavors for everyone. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making sure our needs were met. the location was perfect for us as it was very close to the town center and provided ample parking space.

Our room was not properly soundproofed and we could hear every step and conversation of the people above us. This made it hard to get a good night's sleep.
