I recently stayed at Melrose Cottage for a short getaway and it was perfect. As a cyclist, I was thrilled to find a safe place to store my bike and Rose even provided toiletries to lighten my load. The location was peaceful, allowing for a relaxing evening stroll into town for dinner. The breakfast options were delicious, with fresh fruit and the ability to purchase a packed lunch.

I recently stayed at Melrose Cottage for a few nights and I couldn't have been happier. The location is peaceful and quiet, situated on a residential road with no through traffic. The accommodation is excellent, with a variety of spacious bedrooms to choose from. Rose, the hostess, made me feel incredibly welcome and even allowed me to use her beautiful garden. The standout feature, however, was the breakfast. The options were delicious and generous, with a full English one day and kippers the next. I wouldn't hesitate to return to this wonderful hotel.

The rooms are well-equipped, spotlessly clean, and spacious, offering comfortable chairs for relaxation. The host, Rose, ensures a warm welcome and provides excellent service. The breakfast options are delightful, with a wide selection of freshly cooked dishes and a variety of cereals, fresh fruit, and toast. The continuous hot water and ample storage add to the convenience. An ideal base for exploring the surrounding villages.

Only one bathroom available, but as there were few guests, it wasn't an issue.
