I had a wonderful stay at this bed and breakfast called Melrose, owned by a lovely couple. the location was ideal, just a 10-minute walk away from the town. the bed in my room was fantastic, so big and comfy, with crisp white bed linen. the breakfasts were great with a lovely choice and cooked perfectly. the property itself was welcoming and had clear instructions for accessing it. My room had a sea view on the first floor and was beautifully decorated and clean. I especially appreciated the little touches like having fresh milk and bottled water in the fridge. I would definitely recommend this place to my family and friends and would love to return again.

The attention to detail was impeccable, and the value for money was excellent. The hotel is located in a quiet area, just off the sea front, making it a peaceful retreat while still being within easy reach of all that Whitby has to offer. The staff were friendly and the basic amenities provided were great. The room I stayed in had an extremely spacious bathroom with a beautiful sea view, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. I also loved the breakfast, especially the lovely homemade jams.

From the moment I arrived at this hidden gem, I was greeted with excellent service. The room I stayed in was not only clean but also beautifully furnished. I was pleasantly surprised to find a small balcony with a sea view, perfect for enjoying a morning coffee. The location was ideal, with easy access to the main roads and just a short stroll to the promenade. The breakfast was top-notch, with high-quality ingredients and a wide selection. The owners, David and Emma, were attentive and made sure our stay was enjoyable. I had a faultless and most enjoyable stay, and I am already recommending it to others.

The coffee was just perfect; not too strong and just perfect with the milk. the eggs Benedict were heavenly. We also liked the location since we could walk to town so it was easy to explore. Lastly, having a spacious room with a big comfortable bed was ideal for our needs.

The carpets needed replacing as they were worn and rather dirty. the bathroom was freezing and despite asking for help, nothing was done about the heating or providing extra heating.
