I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, tucked away on a quiet street but still very close to the centre of town. The service from the hosts was excellent, they were professional and friendly, making me feel right at home. The room was spacious and had all the amenities I needed, including ironing facilities, tea and coffee making facilities, and a comfortable sitting area. The housekeeping was top-notch, keeping everything spotlessly clean. The garden area was a lovely spot to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The free toiletries provided were a nice touch, and the flat-screen TV provided entertainment in the evenings. The dining options were excellent, with special diet menus available upon request. I was impressed with the quality and comfort of this hotel.

stayed in ambleside before, but melrose guesthouse was a pleasant surprise. owners lyn and alan were friendly and went above and beyond. spotless rooms, comfortable beds, and a delicious breakfast each morning. highly recommend to friends and family.

Noisy room, poor ventilation.

The hotel's location was fantastic, right in the center of the city. It was just a short walk to the lake and there were plenty of restaurants nearby. The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable, everything was spotless. The hotel facilities were great, from the fish tank in the lobby to the convenience of having a washer and dryer available. The staff were friendly and helpful, making sure all my needs were met.
