We had a truly exceptional stay at this lovely B&B nestled in a wooded valley. The location, next to a river surrounded by beautiful trees, provided a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated, and spotlessly clean. The comfortable bed and soft bed linen ensured a restful night's sleep. The service from the hosts was warm and attentive, making us feel welcome and well-cared for. The breakfast, served by Kelvin, was a delightful feast of local, high-quality ingredients. We particularly enjoyed the complimentary Welsh cakes. The facilities were top-notch, including access to Netflix and a selection of shower goods.

The lack of live TV was a minor inconvenience, but the availability of Netflix made up for it.

This hotel is situated in a tranquil idyllic area, surrounded by beautiful trees and next to a river. It offers a perfect blend of peace and convenience. The location is fantastic, as it is near to everything, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. The rooms are well-equipped with great facilities, including a good shower and lovely finishing touches such as Welsh cakes on the tea tray and fresh milk. The staff provide excellent service and are more than happy to help with directions and recommendations. The breakfast options are varied and delicious, with some lovely fresh coffee to start your day.

I had a wonderful stay at Mill Lodge in Gilwern. The location was fantastic, with its own parking and a peaceful river flowing below. The room was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The hosts, Mel and Kel, were friendly and welcoming, providing helpful information about the local area. The breakfasts were delicious and there were plenty of options to choose from. I loved exploring the nearby canal walk and spotting wildlife along the way. I highly recommend this hidden gem for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

The bed was very comfortable and the room was spotlessly clean. the decor was modern and well-suited. the hotel offered free Wi-Fi, which was convenient for work. the location of the hotel was great, very close to shops and restaurants. One more advantage was the parking area, which was very spacious, and had a secure gate.

The hotel staff was not friendly or accommodating. They made no effort to make my stay pleasant or inviting.

The location was perfect, being not far from the main road, yet far enough to enjoy the outstanding beauty of the area. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean, and the service provided by the host was fantastic. The highlight of my stay was definitely the delicious breakfast, with a wide variety of choices. Plus, I couldn't resist the temptation to explore the nearby pub in the next village.
