We had a fantastic stay in this beautiful b&b. The room was spacious and comfortable, with everything we needed. The breakfast was delicious, with homemade breads and preserves. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the city centre and close to the old town. The hotel facilities were great, including an honesty bar for a relaxing drink. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable.

Free parking was a bonus. a memorable stay.

The dining room chairs were slightly uncomfortable. the stairs to the rooms might be a challenge for those with mobility issues.

I recently stayed at a lovely bed & breakfast in York called Monkbridge House. The homely atmosphere and welcoming hosts made me feel right at home. Despite being on a main road, I was not disturbed by traffic noise and enjoyed a peaceful stroll along the nearby river. The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean, with thoughtful touches like a make-up remover flannel and a cute "do not disturb" soft toy lion. The room was well-stocked with refreshments, including fresh milk. The breakfast was delicious, with a great variety of choices and locally sourced produce. it was a delightful and enjoyable stay at Monkbridge House.

Excellent stay for 2 nights. The owners accommodated an early check-in for us which was fab with having a 9-year-old with us. Room was a triple which was a great size. Really comfortable bedroom, has everything you could need. Breakfast both mornings was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. A great addition was the honesty bar for a drink after a day pounding the streets - fab idea. Owners are lovely and have done an amazing job with the house.
