The room itself had a chipped and stained bath with residue, but it also had a hand-held shower and a bathroom that was modern. The service at the hotel was very good and helpful, especially from David at reception. the hotel was well-located for exploring the Monsal trail and the surrounding area.

The hotel had a disappointing decor with black and dirty carpets, and the breakfast service was slow and unappetizing at times.

The provision of tea and coffee was excellent, and there was always plenty of hot water. The hotel also had a lovely touch of sherry in the room. a fantastic stay at Monsal Head Hotel.

I recently stayed at Monsal Head for a weekend getaway. The room was comfortable with a stunning view. The staff were friendly and the food was excellent, especially the ribeye steak and delicious balasmic tomato. The cheese board was generous and the Yorkshire Pepper Cake was a delightful surprise. The breakfasts were cooked to order and delicious. I would definitely visit again.
