Our stay at Mount Barker in Grantown-on-Spey was truly delightful. the room and bathroom were immaculate, with a fabulous tub and lovely shower. the hosts were welcoming and provided great recommendations for food and activities. the location near the Cairngorms and Speyside distilleries was perfect for exploration. the garden area and leisure room offered relaxation, and nearby landmarks like Anagach Woods and the Craft Lounge added to our family bonding experience. A wonderful stay with no negatives to mention.

The location was perfect for exploring Grantown-On-Spey. Karen and Alex were wonderful hosts, with a tasty breakfast and a beautifully furnished room. The only hiccup was the scented incense, quickly resolved. We highly recommend Mount Barker for a luxurious stay.

I recently stayed at a charming bed & breakfast in Grantown-on-Spey called Mount Barker. The house and decor are absolutely beautiful. My room was spacious and tastefully decorated, featuring a luxurious four-poster bed and a large en suite with a stunning free-standing bath. After a long day of hill walking, relaxing in the bath was a fantastic treat. Karen, the host, was excellent, both as a cook and as a host. She even arranged a dinner reservation for us. The attention to detail was impressive, with bath robes and slippers provided, as well as a cozy guest sitting room with a log burner. The location was also convenient, within walking distance of restaurants and shops, and ideal for exploring the Cairngorms and Speyside distilleries. it was a wonderful experience.

The room was absolutely beautiful, with modern décor and all the amenities you could ask for, from a coffee pod machine to high-quality toiletries. the bed was super comfortable, and we slept like logs every night. We were also thrilled with the location, as it was walking distance to great shops and restaurants.

If we had to nitpick, we would say that the breakfast menu was almost too extensive! It was tough to choose between all the delicious options, but that's really not a complaint at all.

Arriving at this hotel felt like stepping back in time to a luxurious mansion with warm and friendly hosts. the room was adorned with elegant furnishings and exclusive amenities, including bespoke toiletries and a large bath perfect for winding down after a day of exploring the surrounding area. the breakfast selection was superb and the hostess provided excellent recommendations for local dining options and activities. the location provided easy access to nearby attractions.

The only minor issue was the slightly higher prices, but given the level of luxury and service provided, it was well worth the investment. In summary, my experience at this hotel was one of pure indulgence and relaxation.

Mount Barker provided excellent value for the money with beautifully decorated and spacious rooms. The location in the Cairngorms was fantastic and the staff, especially Karen, were warm and welcoming, going out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay.

Hotel breakfast could have been improved with more gluten-free options.
