The location of the hotel was perfect for our visit to the Y Not festival, as it was close enough to walk when there were no taxis available. The beautiful rear garden provided a peaceful retreat after a long day of festivities. we found a very good pub, the Bentley Brook Inn, just a short stroll away. Our room was spacious with ample storage, and the beds were soft and comfortable. The breakfast options were varied and plentiful, ensuring we started our day right.

We felt completely at home in the reception, bar, lounge, and conservatory areas, and enjoyed the freedom to relax without feeling obligated to engage in polite conversation with other guests. The breakfast was fantastic, especially the poached egg made with fresh eggs laid by the hotel's own hens.

There were some negative aspects of our stay. The cleanliness of the rooms left much to be desired, with dust and dirt visible in several areas.
