We were captivated by the peacefulness of the surroundings and enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere in the pub within the hotel. The dining room was charming and we savored the simple yet satisfying food. Our bedroom was spacious and tranquil, offering lovely views over the park. The cleanliness and modernity of the room, along with the comfy bed and luxurious amenities, ensured a comfortable and relaxing stay. The delightful features and warm staff made our experience even more special.

Conveniently located near a park and golf course, this beautifully restored country mansion offers a quiet and comfortable stay. The interior is updated and there are plans for further renovations. The entrance hall boasts a stunning fireplace where guests can relax with a glass of wine. The room had lovely views and the Scottish breakfast was included.

The cleanliness of the rooms was impeccable, and the modern and well-appointed bathroom was a pleasant surprise. The hotel facilities, including the kettle and cafeteria for coffee, were much appreciated. I also loved the location of the hotel, as it was situated in the midst of a beautiful park and close to shops. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to ensure a great experience, with flexible breakfast timings and even offering a bacon roll when a cooked breakfast wasn't available.

Spent an amazing Christmas at this hotel. Rooms were beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and luxurious. the food was delicious, with a good variety, and well presented. Staff were friendly and efficient which made for a great atmosphere. Was able to enjoy a lively and well-stocked bar, and the newly refurbished ballroom was magnificent. Location was perfect as it was close to popular local attractions and easily accessible.

No elevator, which made it challenging for guests on the top floor, and the lack of sound insulation made it difficult to sleep. the toilet paper provided was coarse and we had to fix some of the fittings in the room ourselves.

I got great value for my money at Oswald House! The room was comfortable and had a proper country house feel. The location in the middle of a large park with views of the sea was lovely. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to ensure a great experience.

The breakfast selection could use improvement, especially the dry black pudding and warmed-up mushrooms.
