We were in need of a stopover during a long drive, and Picket Post House delivered everything we desired. The charming house and well-maintained gardens were a delightful sight. Opting for the cooked breakfast was a real treat, although the continental spread alone would have sufficed. The hostess kindly sourced gluten-free bread for us. Highly recommended for its warm welcome, on-site parking, and the option to come and go as we pleased.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this lovely B&B. the host was incredibly welcoming and made me feel right at home. the house itself is immaculate and beautifully decorated, reflecting the age of the property. My room had everything I needed and more, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. the breakfast options were delicious, with a perfect balance of continental and cooked choices. the location is picturesque, with the canal right next to the house and plenty of opportunities for walks in the countryside. I can't wait to go back for a longer stay next time!

The location of Picket Post House is truly enchanting, nestled amongst trees and by a serene canal. The ambiance inside is cozy and charming, with wooden beamed ceilings and floors that transport you to another time. The room I stayed in was delightful, with a breathtaking view of the canal and the morning sun streaming in.

The warm welcome and friendly host were a nice touch. the continental breakfast included was excellent, with the option to pay extra for a full English. the location of the property was lovely, with a canal behind and a stream in front, creating an idyllic atmosphere.

The soundproofing in the walls was lacking, as I could hear everything happening in the next room. While the property had its charm, it was difficult to find and some better signage would have been helpful.
