We absolutely loved the cozy and welcoming atmosphere at Powdermills. The fireplaces and numerous cozy seating areas added to the charm.

the rooms were beautifully decorated and comfortable, and the food was exceptional. There was so much choice for breakfast and we even had a delicious room service meal. the staff were incredibly accommodating, especially the chef who made sure my mother's allergies were taken care of. We also appreciated that our dog was allowed to dine with us in the orangery. the grounds were vast and stunning, perfect for walking our dog. Powdermills Country House provided one of the most relaxing hotel experiences I've ever had.

The picturesque location, surrounded by lakes and woodland walks, provided a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. the dinners served at the hotel were of a high standard, with a wide range of options to choose from. the hearty breakfasts offered a variety of choices, including fresh strawberries and raspberries, and the cooked breakfast was cooked to perfection.

Upon our arrival, the room we were initially allocated had a strong smell of dog, which was not ideal. However, the staff quickly resolved the issue and moved us to another room, which was lovely and separated from the main building with a balcony.

Spacious executive suite with lake views, comfortable beds. Pool not yet open. Good breakfast and dinner options at the restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff. Large, beautiful grounds with lakes and peacocks.

Excellent food, especially the evening meal. Lovely grounds, perfect for weddings. Off-road walk to the Abbey is a local attraction.

We had a delightful stay at this charming country house hotel. the grounds were exceptional and the hotel itself had the decor and atmosphere of a large Manor house. the staff were friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome. the rooms were tastefully decorated, with some of us lucky enough to have four-poster beds. the breakfast served in the orangery was good, and we enjoyed the calm and pleasing ambience. We would definitely recommend this hotel and consider returning in the future.

We had a wonderful stay at Powdermills! The hotel grounds are stunning, perfect for exploring with our puppy. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The location was great, just a short drive to Hastings. The Orangery restaurant was fantastic for dinner. The hotel itself, with its old and quaint building, added to the charming atmosphere. The food was delicious, beautifully cooked, and the rooms were comfortable and clean. The hotel had plenty of spaces to relax, both inside and outside, without feeling crowded. We especially regretted not bringing swimwear to enjoy the inviting pool on the sunny days.

We stayed in a spacious and beautifully furnished Junior Suite at Powdermills Hotel. The room had patio doors leading onto a balcony, perfect for relaxing. Despite feeling unwell, the attentive staff provided iced water and made our stay comfortable. The hotel's Double room was exceptional with a bonus four poster bed. The hotel itself was enormous with various rooms for different purposes, such as a reading room, music room, and spacious lounge. The rooms were large, clean, and very comfortable, with plenty of storage space. The hotel provided amenities like tea/coffee making facilities, bottles of water, and luxury toiletries. The breakfast was delicious, with a wide selection of options and attentive service. The staff were lovely and dog-friendly, the grounds were gorgeous, and we enjoyed the refreshing pre-breakfast swim in the pool. we loved our stay and will definitely return.
